The Fire in the Lake

Sometimes

I dance with bears

or run with wolves.

I've been known to
sing with meadowlarks,

see through hawks' eyes

and leap with dolphins.

Sometimes

I can not

dance

or run or sing or see or leap

Until I find

the fire

in the lake.

  12. Pat! Man great stuff. Very mystifying. And the pics are beautiful. Love, love, love it.

And how'd you do in the contest? I had trouble finding your entry. I couldn't see how they were numbered. I searched that blog and searched. :(

  14. Robyn: Thank you!
Nathan's contests are so hard to find entries because they aren't numbered. I saw the number as I submitted but then to find it again you have to guess from the spread of numbered posts on a page. Maybe I'll post the entry on my own blog. I see other people did that. I wasn't a winner or, believe me, you would have heard a squee or two.

  18. That was a moment of beauty with words, as Sliding on the Edge said. I came over from Mary Anne's blog to stop in and say "Hello" I also love the post you did before this one about trees. I grew up on a tree farm. Loved it!
