Sometimes Southern California gets dramatic, and my favorite times of day are those moments when the sun is rising or setting. There wasn't a lot of rain with this system but there sure was a show.
Tomorrow, my daughter and I are going to see a different spectacular show--All That Skate with Olympic ice skaters including Yuna Kim, Michelle Kwan, Stephane Lambiel, Johnny Weir and Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo. Excited much? Oh, yeah.

And, oh my, I notice that almost 300 people pressed the little follow button on this blog. I never dreamed so many wonderful people would drop by. I'm going to have to throw a party. With prizes, of course, when I get there. Thank you all!

ReplyDeleteAnd that storm was something yesterday! I can still hear the screams of 120 Kindergartners every time the thunder boomed. (Some of them had never heard thunder before.)

One thing Arizona shares with CA is a spectacular sky, unobscured by too many trees, almost always lit up by the sun. I love your pictures and am glad you appreciate the view as I do.
ReplyDeleteOh, I just love clouds and skies...great photos. I'm behind the times; I only recognized one name on the skaters list! The last time I watched, I think it was the '84 Olympics in Yugoslavia! And Scott Hamilton...a long time ago, for sure.

I loved this storm. Thunder and lightning is so rare. RAIN is so rare! I treasure it every time it shows up. Have fun watching the skaters!
