I live inside my head. A lot.
From the time I could first read, I lost myself in characters, saw the world through the eyes of others, had experiences far beyond my backyard.
As a writer I can be anything at all.
I write mostly fantasy, dabble in haiku and love shooting photos. The earth is my muse. Give me sand under my feet, pelicans skimming a wave, a crystal-clear desert sky streaked with shooting stars, a forest trail perfumed by pines.
In my former life I was a features writer for a daily newspaper. It's an incredible way to meet diverse and astonishing people. I learned the discipline of deadlines and accuracy, the art of interviewing and the necessity of research.
