I think I hear the Nutcracker Suite

Sometimes things pop up when and where you least expect them. It's good, since I've had several interviews pop up for writing gigs.
That's what has been happening last week and this one, meaning I've barely had a moment to read or write blogs. I will be back to visit y'all soon.
I did want to stick my head in for an instant and shout out: I have 150 followers, or blogging friends, which is amazing and awesome and I want you to know it really means a lot to feel the support! Thank you so much.
And I also need to shout out to Shelley, the Storyqueen, who kind of dared me to finish my novel-in-progress in five days. That would have been as likely as turning these toadstools into carriages but I did write about 2,500 new words over the weekend thanks to her nudge. So thank you, Shelley! I'm getting close. I swear.

Yay on almost finishing!

That picture is so great- I can almost smell summer!

Okay, so not really, because I'll have snow for another two and a half months, but I can still dream!

Congrats on the 150!! Well deserved :)

Glad to hear the writing is coming along - productive weekends are good!

Hooray! You can do this!!

(The reason I know this is because I finished mine...and if I can do it, well....)

(And I am terrified to read it over, in case major suckage ensues, but I finished!)

And you can, too.

Good luck on your writing gigs.

Shelley (Next weekend maybe?)

Stephanie: I've been so long out of snow country that it's hard for me to imagine those long months, but it is that much sweeter when spring blooms and summer unfolds.

Donna: Don't they look a little like the Fantasia dancers?

Tabitha: I'm working it--almost there. Thanks for the cheer.

Bish: I have two interviews today and crit group tonight. Whew.

Jemi: Thanks. It does feel great after a productive session.

Good luck with your writing gigs, Tricia. I'm impressed with the 2,500 words. That's an awesome weekend push with your WIP.

Shelley: I can't tell you how perfect your little push was/is. I even got some really good insights into the emotional arc I'm striving for in this book, so I'm feeling renewed. And a big thanks to you!

YAY on finishing yours! WREN?

Thanks so much Laurel. I feel really good about it.

personally, I think 2,500 new words over the weekend is something worth celebrating, in addition to 150 followers!

Golly, I almost posted a picture of toadstools today! We're on the same flora wavelength, Tricia. Congrats on 150 followers and good luck with your interviews! (They can be so draining.)

JB: Thanks, I'm off to the first one right now!

Shannon: I'm burning things up or they'll fry me. :D

Thanks, Abby, I'm trying. ;)

Mel: I stumbled on them in a park, little patch of toadstools. And now I'm off to one of those interviews. Bye!

You have one of the best blogs I follow. You'll finish your novel and when you do part of you will be sad to let it go.

2500 words? Way to write! You're practically there. Good luck with those interviews and congrats on the 150 followers - isn't the blogging community the greatest?

I love the toadstools. They make me smile.
Good luck!

Welcome, Roxy, and thanks!

LiLa: I may be wrapping myself up. I feel like a cartoon character with sticky tape. :D

Wow, Yvonne, that is high praise. I thank you so much.
I'm not sure if I'll be sad or ready to push it out the door.

Kathryn: That's my hope--that I will really hit it this week.

VR: Thanks. And, yes, I'm amazed how friendly, supportive and natural it feels.

PJ: They are winsome little guys, aren't they? Really, this group reminded me of the Chinese dancers in Fantasia.

Pat, First off I love the toadstool carriages. =) And I love Talespinning. And I wish you great luck on your writing gigs. And congrats on the 150 followers. And I am really happy for you about the 2,500 new words. How awesome is that?

Whew! You must be tired. I am, from just talking about all of that. Seriously though, if anyone deserves success in all they do it is my friend Pat. Cheers! =)

Congratulations on your 2.5K! Sometimes a sprint helps to get you going.

Tricia J. O'Brien said...

Welcome, Anissa. I'm so glad to meet you!

Hi Julie! You won't believe the wild mushroom I found today. I may have to post another fungifoto.;)

Robyn: Thanks for the love! Speaking of tired, I didn't mention I had two crit group meetings in the middle of all that. But I'm still standing (well, sitting at the moment).

Sarah: You're right. The sprint kind of gets the circulation going again. I plan to sprint some more in the next two days.

Carolina Valdez Miller said...

Good luck with the interviews!!! And congrats on the 152 followers ;)

I get mushrooms all over my garden when it rains too much. Those aren't nearly as lovely as the ones you've posted.

Tricia J. O'Brien said...

Carolina: These little guys were cute the way they popped up in a little gathering. :)

Hey Pat,

I'm loving this 'shroom weather too. Always wish I had the courage to try each one out and discover perhaps a singular elixir of happiness. But I will defer to the happiness of good things happening to good friends, instead. Good luck with all your interviews, and your wonderful manuscript!

Rilla: 'shroom weather, I like that concept. Sounds like a fantasy, does it not? Thank you, and I hope you are writing more wonderful words, too.
