She waves in passing

Magic lingers in
the cottage down the path where
the hollyhocks grow
*
Went for a walk and found a fairytale garden and a storybook house. You don't have to believe in magic for it to exist, but if you believe you find it everywhere.

This is the meager extent of my blogging for the moment. I have written a new opening to Sea Daughters and reworked three middle chapters and done a beta read for someone else since last I posted. I also read an ARC of Lisa Desrochers' PERSONAL DEMONS, which I intend to write about more fully later in the week. But, for now, let's say that book is so hot, I'm still fanning myself.

Magic is most definitely everywhere - you just have to keep your eyes open. :)

Hi Nicole! Hi sarahjayne! Thankyou,thankyou.

Yvonne: Hollyhocks belong with cottages, I think. Aesthetic partners.

Jemi: and doesn't that make life soooo fun?

I love a little magic! My girls love to imagine fairies in the flowers. It really isn't much of a stretch.

Waving back at you!

It sounds like you are really getting a lot done. It is wonderful when the momentum is strong on a piece and it demands so much of your time. I love when I am that deep in a story.

As it is...I am slogging my way through a first draft. I am waiting until August 1 to open Wren again. That way, I think I'll be about 1/2 done with the new WIP and that is when it is nice to have a distraction.

Good luck!

Shelley

Tabitha: I know you find the magic--it's in your writing all the time!

Victoria: Isn't it fun to find the hidden stories? I love being a writer.

Natalie: Fairies are definitely in the flowers!

Donna: Thank you. It was a lovely walk.

Shelley: You have such an abundance of creative ideas--I'm gonna stretch July for you with some of this magic. Lots of writing time. ;)

A beta read, a new chapter, and three rewoked ones?! You are on a roll, girl! Give yourself a pat on the back. :o)

I love the hollyhocks, especially with the roses beneath them there. Reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.

Magic is truly all around us, isn't it?

Lol I absolutely believe that if you carry magic in your heart you will find it wherever you go.

Same thing with love :)

Write on! From the sound of it, you are getting some serious writing done this summer. Hats off to you!

The fairytale garden & storybook house sound divine...

Jackee: Okay, patting back. :D I like the Alice notion, too.

Kathryn: Without it the world would not be nearly as enchanting.

Phoenix: Maybe magic wands are part of us all along--we use or not...

Terresa: I'm trying, got the throttle open and wide open road. :)

Love the hollyhocks. A magic garden would be great right about now.

Still fanning yourself? Yowza.
