I'm not going to be around today, but I want to post a reminder that a signed copy of CINDERS, a dark and riveting look into Cinderella's future, is up for grabs. The novella by Michelle Davidson Argyle, one of the Literary Lab hosts, is a gem. Just leave a comment on
the last post, not this one. Happy Thursday, everyone.

Thanks--I adore Michelle and would love to win this! :)
Thanks for the reminder- I'd love to read that one!
Thanks for the reminder :)
If you haven't seen the movie "Ever After" I highly recommend it. It's the Cinderella love story but with a kick-ass, intelligent heroine, each character having lots of levels, and a wonderful love story.
I'm not always such a fan of fairy tales for the entire reason why Cinders was written - I'd much rather read about the hard work that goes into a relationship than sigh and sit back happily that someone got their Happily Ever After.
So... my favorite fairy tale might be the one where the heroine saves herself, slays the dragon, and rescues the prince.
Lemme know when they write that one. :)
@Phoenix: You'd probably like Cinders. It's ALL about the hard work that goes into a relationship. She doesn't get her happily-ever-after, and that's the whole point that she tries to remedy. :)
Happy Thursday! I already stopped by!
I'm signed up too! Hope your day was good one.
I've already read this book - twice! Michelle is such a talented writer and I loved your review.
Happy Friday! Thanks for the reminder.
Thanks everyone for stopping by.
Phoenix: Loved Ever After. In fact, it's been awhile, so I think I'll rent it again.
As for that fairy tale you're waiting on, I think I'm writing one just like it. It's a story I've shelved for awhile but really should finish for the fun of it. Maybe I'll even do something like Michelle did with it. :D
P.S. I'll announce the winner of Michelle's book this weekend.
Thanks, Tricia. I just entered another contest for this book.
