Best voting spot in the world

So, yeah, I voted in my state's primary elections today. I hope your voice is heard, too. As a woman, I respect how much the suffragists/suffragettes actually did suffer to gain this right for me.

My polling place has to be the best. The view out front:
Or if you turn your head:

Our polling place is inside the lifeguard headquarters building. Here's a view taken on a pastel night:

Please don't forget about the auction for HelpBabyJayden. So many good things up for bid--agent and author critiques, signed books, artworks.

Wow. That's a beautiful place to vote! :)

I think if they made polling places this gorgeous, everyone would show up to vote. I'm making sure to vote right after I get off work. Our voices need to be heard.

Eagle: It really is. Makes me smile every time.

Phoenix: I wish! Glad to hear you're going to make it, too.

How could anyone NOT vote with a view like that? We go into our antique town hall, with velvet curtains on the windows and a stage up front. The floor squeaks, and every time I walk across it, I recognize I'm stepping where people have come to vote for something like 200 years.

Get out!! You are so so lucky.I agree with Liza. If everyone could vote from a view like that maybe we could raise our voting percentages over 60pct. Thanks for sharing this.

Liza: Right???
Oh, I love the sound of your squeaky floor and that it makes you think of those who came long before. That really adds gravitas and a sense of wonder.

Yvonne: I know, I know! :D

Now that's how all places should do their voting! Set up the booths in all the best places--by cinemas, in malls, on the beach, by a river, etc. It'd be great :)

(and thank you again for all your support for Jayden's auction. You have been awesome, Tricia!)

I wish voting booths looked like that. Good for you, making your voice heard. I don't understand why some people don't care to use their vote when so many fought to give us the right to do so.

That might be the most awesome-est (yeah - probably not a word...) voting booth in the history of the planet!!!

Okay, you win! You can really meditate on the candidates and which of them would be mostly likely to actually preserve that view.

Wen: Yeah, in today's entertainment-driven society, they should put the polls in entertaining environs. :)
It's been my pleasure to support the auction. I am so pleased to see it going well.

Get on over to Jayden's auction, folks!

Julie: I''m with you on that one. I don't get apathy about something so important as the people who run your world and the rules they make.

Jemi: Awesome-est works for me!

Bish: Most definitely want people with vision for keeping our environment healthy. Oh. Yes.

I totally agree with previous comments, it would be great to have polls in places people actually frequent for pleasure, like near cinemas, the beach, etc. Our is the old Elks Lodge Rec Hall, it smells like cigars and spilled beers and sweaty guys. On the other hand...I guess that is an all-American smell, right? I'm still envious of your place, though.

So funny! My polling place, just up the beach, has amazing ocean views too.

We are lucky girls! :)
