Snow day

sea of white, whirl of
snow-smoke, junco flung sideways--
picture-window scene

If you haven't guessed it's snowing in Seattle. Low temps in the 20s this week, which for here is cold. I'm enjoying the pretty and scribbling haiku.

More wintery than Maine for once. We were in the 40s earlier this week, but more snow is due tonight. I'm glad you got to enjoy a real winter.

It's still winter here! Only 18 degrees this morning. Icy roads. But when I went walking in the afternoon it made it up to 37, or so my weather app said. It's rapidly falling down tonight and snow and cold is sticking around for at least another week.
I guess we are getting a little payback for January being unseasonably warm and lovely. Anyhow, it's only a tiny taste of your winters, so I enjoy the prettiness and put up with the inconvenience.

Hi Tricia! We've had a ton of snow here too. It's getting old! I just wanted to stop by and say hi. I've returned to blogging and I'm out and about checking in with some of my old peeps. So glad you're still around!

*waves at Susan* I barely qualify as returning to blogging, but I do try to post once in awhile. Life is always so busy!
