Where I've been, where I'll go

What if you found a ladder into the sea?

*

And discovered you were standing on the spine of a sea monster?

I love where my imagination takes me. Now, if I would just let it help me finish the final lap of my fairy tale! Nearing 80K...

I sidetracked to join Twitter. Finally. Too much fun. Too many interesting people! Too many days gone by. Find me @triciajobrien

But here I am, posting about my wanderings on land and interwebz.

And! I went to the first meeting of a new crit group. We seem to be a pretty solid group of writers, so I'm encouraged. I still love my old group and will travel a gazillion miles to meet with them. Thrice this month, in fact.

Where have you been wandering?

I would climb that ladder.

The ocean, like our Great Lakes, is a constant source of inspiration, fuel for the imagination.

Lucky you...two crit groups. I'm sure I could find one in my area, or at least within driving distance, if I put my mind to it.

Good luck on your final lap. 80,000words is great.

It would be so exciting to climb the spine of a sea monster! :)

And where would that sea monster take you? To an underwater cavern populated by mermaids? That's where mine would take me, I think... Good luck on finishing your WIP!!

Yvonne: That ladder is so alluring! Sirens, perhaps.

I hope you find some good crit partners near you. It is an amazing experience to have writers you trust and can talk to in person from time to time. Well worth the effort of finding them!

Jemi: Wouldn't it? The funny thing is I saw the ladder as I shot the photos but didn't see I was standing on a sea monster until I downloaded the pix!

Julie: It would be a wild ride, I'm sure. I've been in that underwater world in my mind. Still kinda bummed I had to shelve the mermaid story for now.

Gotta climb that ladder. The sea monster would take me to all kinds of new adventures. I'm ready!

I've been wandering about on horseback. Ahhhhh. The most intimate moments with my horses and the woods and the sky and the wildlife are what make life - living. P.S. I got a new horse. He's an appaloosa palomino. I have always wanted a palomino. He's so BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love you, Pat.
